The New York Natural Heritage Program

David Marston, Programmer/Analyst

Currently working on LAMP (Linux, Apache, mySQL, PHP) solutions for program-wide needs as well as managing a variety of custom Oracle/MS Access databases utilizing extensive VB customization. Interested in open source database solutions for a variety of data, as well as engaging new ways to enter, query, and represent datum. Curious about how other Heritage Programs distribute, highlight, extend, and visualize their biodiversity data. Forthcoming, a selection of modules, programs, & code we've found helpful in the management of both our element occurrence & observation data sets.
