Flora Surveys

Adirondack Orchid Survey - In April 2017 a survey of the orchids in the Adirondacks was started by the botany program and volunteers from the Adirondack Botanical Society. They use iNaturalist to submit observations of the orchid populations from all regions of the park. This summer will be the fourth summer of exploration and so far over 250 observations of 37 species have been made by our trained volunteers and a total of 581 observations of 38 species, including those observed by other participants in iNaturalist, are also tracked.
