Since 2000, Fiona McKinney has provided grants and financial administrative support to the program. Her time with the program has given her opportunities to expand her skills not only in pre- and post-award administration, but also financial planning and fiscal year budgeting, a daily eagle's eye view of the entire operations of the program that not all grants administrators enjoy. With an eye to compliance with sponsor requirements, Fiona provides easily accessible documentation and regular training to assist staff as they complete project tasks, helping them spend their sponsored funds effectively and efficiently. She takes time to understand administrative requirements and processes so that she can better explain and assist staff in completing them. Fiona brings a deep respect for the earth and its resources, lots of creativity (Did you know she's a classically trained singer? SUNY Potsdam - Crane School of Music, ‘86), and a can-do "how can I help" spirit to the table each and every day!
