Heidi received a B.S. in Natural Resources from Cornell University and began wrangling data as a Research Assistant for the Department of Natural Resources (Human Dimensions Research Unit). She launched her Natural Heritage career with the Texas Conservation Data Center but was drawn back to New York where she has been with the New York Natural Heritage Program for over twenty years. Her roles as GIS Specialist, Environmental Review Specialist, and Information Manager enable her to work with both rare and invasive species datasets and natural resource partners to facilitate biodiversity conservation efforts.

Outside of work, Heidi enjoys exploring National Parks and hiking closer to home with her husband and two children.
