Kyle is a botanist in our partnership with New York State Parks. He conducts botanical inventories to assess and map rare plants in State Parks and works to promote and advise on their conservation. He also transcribes botanical records, writes NYNHP Conservation Guides, and assists the Chief Botanist with assessment of rare plant rarity ranks and collaboration with NatureServe.

Prior to joining NHP in 2022, Kyle worked for State Parks managing ecological restoration projects, floristic inventories, and stewardship planning in the Finger Lakes region. Kyle also serves on the board of directors of the New York Flora Association where he helps curate the New York Flora Atlas and lead field trips to botanically rich areas across the state. He has a BS in Conservation Biology from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry and AAS in Horticulture from SUNY-FLCC.
